Run For The Prophet Challenge...
Wow, I would just like to say thankyou. I have been so overwhelmed by the response to this idea I had. I just started thinking about how amazing President Hinckley's life was and how he served truly with an eye single to God. I couldn't help but think about the faith and strength it must have taken for a man like him to work as he did through his entire life, without rest from his labors. It is funny how a simple idea can catch on and spread. Don't get me wrong, this idea is not about me, but our dear Prophet Gordon B. Hinckley. But I can't get over the response to this challenge. People from all over the country have committed to running this Saturday in his honor. How can a little idea in my head grow to something so far beyond anything I could have imagined. I am so humbled and I know that it is only because so many millions of people share my love for the prophet. I can't help but feel grateful that we will have this opportunity to get out of our comfort zone and challenge ourselves. What better way to honor President Hinckley than to push yourself just a little bit harder, make yourself go a little bit further, make the day just a little bit brighter. And what better way to really think about the Prophet, on the day of his funeral, than to get out of the busyness of life and hit the pavement. I'm so excited to share this with all of you. Thank you for loving him as I loved him. I wish you all a happy run/walk. And if you take anything from this experience I hope that it is this: that you will pray just a little bit harder, study your scriptures just a little bit longer, share your love just a little bit more, and forget yourself and go to work!
If I were any better, I'd be TwiNs

Mr. Gifted
Alright, If I can't brag about my child on my own blog, where can I? My little Dylan is a fireball, full of wonder, questions, answers and energy. He never stops, and it has been that way since he was born. Last week I got a call from his pre-school teacher. She explained to me that she wanted to move Dylan up to an older class. She said that he is showing signs of a "Gifted Child" (Yep...those exact words) and that she worries he isn't being challenged enough. I actually have always known that Dylan was a smartie. He remembers everything, has a better vocabulary than I do, and has known his letters and sounds since he was two. His cousins are all equally smart and it is fun watching them learn and discover new things. Anyway, I know that Dylan has great things in store for him and I love it that he is part of our family. And FYI, according to the book of Dylan...Jonah was swallowed by a Shark, not a whale. (That pretty much sums up my know-it-all.)

Christmas Card 2007
I know that it is late, but here is the Christmas Card that we sent out. I am trying to compile current addresses for next year, so leave a comment with your current info, or email it to me at erin.anytimefitness@gmail.com.

Merry Christmas Everyone!
Dear Family & Friends,
We feel so blessed to have such a wonderful family and great friends. We sincerely hope that your Christmas is filled with wonder and awe, and that miracles and magic light your holiday season. Again, Merry Christmas!
We have had a great year and feel such gratitude for our health, home & family. The past year has found us on the road to self employment which has brought much excitement, followed by a lot of hard work. Scott & a business partner ventured into the health industry and opened 3 Anytime Fitness locations and just purchased land for a 4th. We love the concept of Anytime Fitness and feel blessed to have been able to bring a great fitness facility to the people of Blackfoot, Idaho.
Scott has been a Machine the past year and has amazed me every step of the way. He learned quite a bit about business when he was running the Auto Auction, but watching him start, run and manage 3 businesses this year has left me totally astounded. I am so proud of him and grateful for his hard work and dedication in providing for our family. One of the highlights of the Anytime Fitness Brand is their Mascot, Captain Running Man. Let’s just say that Scott now has his very own $2000.00 custom super hero costume. (Purple Tights and all!) Scott continues to wow everyone with his violin playing, and is asked almost weekly to perform at one function or another. What a blessing his talents are to our family. Scott recently took Dylan on a Daddy/Son over night work trip where they hiked, swam, shopped, ate and stayed in a hotel. Dylan had so much fun with his dad; he was glowing when he got home. Scott continues to be the best father, husband, homemaker, provider, Sunday School teacher, cleaner and friend anybody could ask for!
I (Erin) have also had a busy and fulfilling year. This year my project was designing and having our yard put in. It is so much fun finally having grass. I love it. I can’t wait for the spring to pick out beautiful trees and shrubs to garnish our new landscaping. I served as the camp director in my ward this year and had so much fun spending a week camping in Island Park with the Young Women. I also grew close to the leaders and found many new friends. I have since been called as the Young Women’s Secretary and will also serve as the camp director again. Fun for Me! A new adventure for me will start in 2008 as I am now officially on the Board of the Blackfoot Chamber of Commerce. We will be meeting monthly and I am excited to dive into the community and participate in helping better its business practices and local plans. I also spent a good chunk of my year catching up on three seasons of the Office (I love Dwight Schrute), watching season six of 24 (Jack Bauer is a Rock star). Scott and I recently ran in a Thanksgiving Day 4 mile race and I registered us for the SLC Beat the New Year 5K race on New Year’s Eve. I love it that Scott is willing to jump on board my crazy ideas.
Dylan is my 3-year old little know-it-all. He started Pre-School this year and already knows everything that the other kids are learning. The other day he wanted something to drink. He looked at me and said, “Mom, there are 5 kinds of drinks”, and then counting on his fingers he said, “Juice, Milk, Chocolate Milk, Water and Soda”. And then going back to his third finger he said, “I want Chocolate Milk”. He is so smart. He uses some words that I have never used in my life. I will admit, Thomas the Tank Engine TV shows are so annoying, but Dylan has really mastered the English language watching them. He will even narrate his own stories. Dylan is really loyal to his toy trains and cars. He won’t let them out of his sight. He will carry them all to the breakfast table, and then he will play with them in the tub. He will dry them off and take them in his backpack to Pre-school. He will then tuck them into bed with him. Let’s just say that he takes inventory about 300 times a day and he will know if one is missing. Recently I was laughing at Dylan because he was about to get into the bathtub and he was singing “Look mom, I’m naked…I’m dancing naked!” I was quite embarrassed and amazed at how similar his DNA must be to his fathers, when I noticed that Kate’s hair was falling out. Dylan had cut Kate’s hair in little chunks allover her head. It was pretty hard to be mad at him after the Singing and Naked Dance!
Kate is my 2-year old Angel Baby and she is a delight to have around. She is turning into a little girly, girl and loves picking out crazy outfits and dressing herself. Her favorite thing in the world is shoes and she always has to have a pair on. She doesn’t like to be dirty and if her clothes, shoes or hands get dirty she will throw a fit. She is very independent and has to do everything on her own. She loves to dance and sing. Kate Bug does the funniest things. I spy on her all the time because I don’t want to miss a thing.
Well, as you can see we are doing great and hope that all of you are well and happy. Check in on us during the year at www.petersoncamp.blogspot.com. We love you and wish you all the happiness you deserve.
Love, The Petersons

We Thank Thee O God For A Prophet!!

I'm sure that we all feel the same about our beloved Prophet Gordon B. Hinckley. I am saddened and also at peace. His passing really is a surprise...if any man could have lived forever I surley would think that it would have been President Hinckley. What an amazing life full of service to our Lord. I am excited that he will be with his sweetheart for Valentine's Day.
We will remember you and honor you by following your council, and continuing in the work that you wholeheartedly taught us to do. Truly, the work will continue to roll forward and fill the earth. We love you!

What's Up With Word Verification

Okay, nobody take offense, but can I just say how badly I hate entering word verification when posting comments on my friends blogs.
Top 5 Reasons why I don't want to enter Word Verification in order to leave a comment.
5. There always seems to be a child screaming in the background when I am trying to post comments on my friends blogs.
4. I usually am about to pee my pants when I am trying to post comments on my friends blogs.
3. I should be working on our taxes while trying to post comments on my friends blogs...thus I am getting paid while wasting company time...feeling guilty...and in a hurry.
2. I have a weird fear always in the back of my mind that my computer is going to explode, or I will push a button and my witty, make you feel good about yourself comment will disappear and I will be left having to retype what I had already written, never in as much detail and never with as much feeling.
1. I can never even read the stinking words anyway...is it an R or a V? I don't know...and I always have to retype the word verification again anyway, totally driving me crazy and leaving me with an anxiety attack and a headache!

The Late Gift Giver...
This is a picture of a blanket I made for my friend Kendra's new baby girl Annie. The problem is that I made it three months ago and still haven't given it to her. What is wrong with me. Is it to late to give it to her. Will Annie at three months be too big for a little blanket.
I am a horrible procrastinator. I need to be more like my blogging friend Kristi and actually get my presents packaged and shipped. And to all of you out there that haven't gotten a present from me recently. It is probably sitting in my closet being neglected because I am the worlds worst Gift Giver. I am always late!

It is not good that man should be alone...

I must say that it is not good that woman should be alone either. Last night Scott was at the gym in Logan and I could not get Dylan to sleep. I think that Dylan finally fell asleep at 1:30 AM. Scott always puts the kids to bed and I am just a sucker and can't seem to get them to stay in bed. So to Scott...I love you, and appreciate all the weight you pull around our house. You are a great husband and especially a great father! We miss you!

I love being an Aunt!
Can I tell you how much I love being an Aunt. I had to wait 28 years to have this title. I love it. Here are my nieces, Samantha, Maylie, and Amy. Naked Laides in a tub...My Favorite! Some of my best memories as a kid were taking baths at my Aunt Jill's house with Taryn, Mandy and Lisa. You ask why? Well, I'm not sure...but we always had a blast. You know, I still love baths!

What happened to my blog?
Can anyone tell me what happened to my side links? All of a sudden they are at the bottom of my blog instead of the top right side. I'm ticked.
