Guess What I Did Today?

So today I ran...
Yep...I Did.

Let me just say that I have a list of reasons that I didn't want to run. But I also had a list of reasons that I should. And believe it or not...I did it.

So 8 Miles is a Personal Record for me and I thought that you should all know that it was stinking hard...But not as hard as I thought it would be.

At one point during my run I started hallucinating...

And When I came back to, I realized that I was drowning in my own sweat...

The weather was so bad today that I had to take my kids to day care and run inside on my treadmill. I ran in Grannie undies, over my G's...Not at all cute, but definitely a sense of freedom running practically naked in the privacy of my own house.

Here is a picture of a group of runners taken at mile 8 of their race...

All Smiles...

Here is a picture of me taken at mile 8...

I'm the dead one on the road...(Okay, not really me, but hey, I'd kill for those legs.)

So...looking in the mirror tonight, I'm proud...Really Proud!

P.S. My bum and legs are killing me.

I feel the same way this morning, only I didn't run....I went to a cycle class and the gym and they were out to kill me. Let's get a massage when you come down! :)

Wow 8 miles. I bought some running shoes the other day and decided I was going to start running. CRAP!!!!!!
I thought I was going to die that first day and I only went 2 miles. So 8 pretty much might as well be a stinking Marathon for me at this point. Congrats you are awesome!!!

YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Could you be any cuter? What a huge accomplishment. 8 miles on the treadmill = You can do 13.1 outside!!

Isn't it amazing what your body can do? SOOOOOOOOO proud of you!

Keep your awesome running posts coming. You are inspiring all of us.

LOTS of stretching, icing and ibuprophen will help if you are really sore :)

Erin, this is Jen from WRFDJ. You are awesome! That is a great distance! And your dog story, I loved it! SCARY! I'm afraid of getting attacked by a cougar, because they are coming down from the mountains now in Utah. BTW, I kept trying to figure out why you look so familiar-- are you the very Erin that was friends with Paul Barris back in the day? I believe so.... let's see if you can place me:)

I personally think it's way harder to run on a treadmill than on the road. So 8 miles on a treadmill! Good work. If you can do that, you can run a marathon!
