Real Men Do Cry...

My little Brother Dustin just finished his first year in Medical School. I hope he won't get mad, but here is a little email he sent my mom...I can' t tell you how glad I am that I am not the one having to study. (I love you Dustin, and I am so proud of you...)

~Written by my Brother Dustin~

Mom, you are such a heaven-sent angel for helping me on this...
I just walked out of my last final of my first year of med school, and went in the bathroom and was fighting tears. I've had 9 finals, 2 papers, and a presentation in the past 8 days. I didn't go to sleep last night. 2 hours of sleep the night before. 1.5 the night before that. And about 3 or 4 the nights before those. Probably showered every third day. A neck beard that won't quit. I've been on the verge of a breakdown literally everyday, wondering how I could possibly be ready for the next exam, or even stay awake to study. And I've gotten an A on every final so far (today's hasn't been graded). It's an absolute and perfect miracle and I just can't stop thanking God. Maybe the most I've ever been pushed in any endeavor, and I've come out of it... and just wanna cry for some reason. And thank the Lord. Such a miracle. God is so good.
Love you!
Dustin

Alright, these pictures are both goofy, but come on...he is cute! (I love you Dustin!!! You are Quite the Panther.)

(He is living in Utah for the summer and then back to Arizona in the fall...so if you know any cute single girls...let me know. He is quite the catch if I say so myself! This email wasn't meant as a plug but hey...why not?)

Too bad I am not single! What a cutie and what a sweet letter to your mom. I hope my son writes things like that to me. You must be really proud of your brother.

dustin rocks! :) it's a long uphill climb, but worth it. and you know i can say that because i've been there. even after all that craziness just in med school classes, he'll look forward to more craziness in clinicals, the Step exams (try studying during crazy intern year for the 3rd one) crazy crazy intern year, residency, and the boards...oh and applying for licenses on top of all that with the chaching added to med school tuition. but he'll do fine. in fact, i'm sure he'll shine. :) i did. double smilee faces :) :)

I can only imagine the tears flowing from your mother's eyes as she read such tender words of faith and gratitude coming from her little boy, as she realizes he's become a man.

He's way hot! He should have no problem finding a woman in UTAH!
